ATF agents Vince Cefalu and Jay Dobyns speak out as whistleblowers about gun running "Operation Fast and Furious."At some level of government, (yet to be determined by Congressional investigation) it was thought that law enforcement could bust Mexican cartel leaders thru illegal gun runners. Sadly, Border Patrol agent Brian Terry lost his life in the line of duty during a gun battle involving one of those smuggled weapons. Over 1000 guns from this sting operation are still missing.

Firm Defeats Preliminary Injunction in New York District Court
Wilenchik and Bartness defeated a request for preliminary injunction in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York on the grounds that the request was overbroad. The plaintiffs had sought a preliminary injunction to prevent our client from encumbering or transferring equity in any of his businesses. The court agreed that the request was beyond the court's power and denied it, leaving our client free to manage his business.

Wilenchik and Bartness is proud to welcome Anne Kaufman and William Fisher.Anne Kaufman graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law where she was a Willard H. Pedrick Scholar. Ms. Kaufman was a Managing Editor for the Law Journal for Social Justice as well as a Teaching Assistant for Legal Method and Writing. She recently joined Wilenchik and Bartness to practice primarily in the areas of commercial and civil litigation.William Fisher received a B.B.A from Ohio University in Finance and International Business. Prior to attending law school, he worked for several years as a securities trader with a national banking organization. He received a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law with a Certificate of Advanced Study in International Law, which included studies in Croatia and Japan. During law school, Mr. Fisher was an Associate Editor for both the Journal of Law and Commerce and for JURIST Legal News, and participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court. He also worked as an extern for a U.S. District Court judge in Pittsburgh. He is currently admitted to practice in California and will sit for the Arizona bar exam in February.
